Breakfast Recipe: Purple Porridge
Todays recipe comes from the wonderful Annabel Karmel. I've been a huge fan of hers since Thomas started weaning as I find the recipes easy to follow and they don't take forever to prep and cook. I am yet to find a parent who has 3 hours spare to whip up a culinary masterpiece for their little one while juggling work, housework and generally just trying to keep their child from destroying the ENTIRE house while they cook. If you are one of these mamas, then well played to you but I certainly am not! Right, enough from me, here's your recipe.
Prep Time: 2 Minutes
Cook Time: 2 Minutes
Great For: 9-12 Months
- A knob of Flora Freedom Dairy-free spread/ butter
- 1/2 apple, peeled and finely diced
- 25g porridge oats
- 150ml calcium fortified almond milk
- 25g blueberries
- 1 tsp maple syrup
Melt the butter/ Flora Freedom spread in a saucepan. Add the apple and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients, stir over the heat until bubbling and the blueberries have softened.
