Babes in the Woods - Hen Party Festival
We love it when we can share a shoot like this one with you! Gilly Page is the queen of flower crowns, so when she said she had a shoot to share, we couldn’t wait to hit the photo link. We weren’t disappointed. This shoot has everything the Indie Bride needs to rock her festival style hen party. Bridesmaids and maids of honour wondering about hen party plans? Look no further, this shoot is full of ideas and inspiration to surprise the bride to be. A perfect hen party weekend away for a bride who loves to be different, be adventurous and love the outdoors, as well as a friendly chicken and very cute dog.
We pass you over to the lady herself, Gilly Page. Welcome to HenFest!
The idea for this shoot was born from an idea that Emma and I had to offer Brides and their 'I DO' crew the opportunity to escape from the world and have their own little celebration at the little piece of Heaven that is The Barn at Lees Farm, so Bespoke For Brides, Hens and Good Friends, at the Barn at Lees Farm was born.
Nestled in the woods in the depths of Ironbridge, Shropshire Emma took the ruins of a barn and lovingly renovated it along with the Annex and the Yurt and is an AirB&B Superhost with glowing reviews.
She lives in the Barn with her two lovely daughters, dogs and Guinea pig and rents out The Annex and Yurt to guests to share a little piece of off grid idyllic living.
Brides, Hens or just good friends are able to enjoy an overnight stay in the Annex and Yurt with wood-fired hot tubs, a fire pit to sit under the stars and fairy lights wrapped in blankets, toasting marshmallows and enjoy High Tea, all homemade by Emma including homemade Elderflower cordial made from Elderflowers collected from the woods around The Barn and of course fizz!
The Bride and her crew as part of the Bespoke package have 2 hours with me creating their own Bespoke keepsake flower crowns, hair accessories or floral hoops with flowers of their choice which can personalised with keepsake silver charms that can be worn later as a bracelet or necklace or added to an existing piece of jewellery.
For me, Gilly, as a Designer Maker it is really important to be able to showcase my work in the the very best way that is visually possible to give brides an idea of how my crowns actually look when worn, so Emma and I's venture together really was the perfect opportunity for my imagination to really run wild and create an inspiration shoot that really showcased my work and this idyllic setting in the best possible way. All of the styling, props and accessories used were lovingly sourced and styled by myself and Emma and therefore gives the Bride and her Hens a true representation of what to expect during their stay, which is really important to us.
We warned you it was good! Get in touch with Gilly and Emma to arrange your hen party weekend in the woods. Your besties round the campfire toasting marshmallows and handmaking your own flower crowns - sounds a throwback to childhood memories and we love it!
