Beauty - Luxury - Creative - Inspiring - Expert - Relaxed

Caroline Arthur is a British wedding dress designer and dressmaker, who has been making bespoke gowns for her thoughtful brides for nearly 20 years. She is fascinated by what each individual bride sees when she looks in the mirror. Experience has shown Caroline that when a bride is relaxed and comfortable in a creative environment, then her ideas surface swiftly, and her growing confidence is what makes this job so rewarding.

Caroline studied Couture Bridal wear at the London College of Fashion, having been taught to sew by her mother. From humble beginnings, stitching in the dining room, she now reaches her brides through her innovative CoutureKit web app, which enables the bride to begin designing her own wedding dress online.

All her bespoke gowns are British made to fit each bride beautifully, with exquisite attention to detail. There are samples to try on from the collection, and stunning silks to choose from at her boutiques in Surrey and Ham House National Trust property in Richmond.

This designer has a clear “Pay it forward” ethos, and mentors young designer dressmakers who want to set themselves up working from home. Giving advice, time and inviting these enthusiasts to sit in on her fittings, Caroline nurtures and encourages their progression, always emphasising the importance of respect, care, professionalism and being able to deliver what you promise. Google reviews glow with praise for Caroline and her team’s dedication, skill, and the pure joy they bring to the wedding dress experience for their brides.

The CoutureKit collection offers the modern bride freedom, choice and creativity, with the safe hands of a totally committed team. The process is relaxed and straightforward, because the communication between designer and bride is so open and clear. Initially a bride-to-be may send images of fragments of dresses she loves...perhaps a colour scheme... and she may use the CoutureKit web app to explain her initial silhouette ideas. From here, she begins her dress journey side-by-side with her CoutureKit Design Consultant, who will work collaboratively with her to bring the design to life at her initial design consultation, where she tries on samples to refine the silhouette, and design details into the perfect sketch.

That same Design Consultant will be with the bride every step of the creative journey, at every appointment from design to dress collection. Together the bride and DC will travel through measuring and fittings, so this is a truly luxury, personal service, ensuring a smooth and joyful experience.

Many brides on their search for the perfect dress, say they love the fabric of one dress, the skirt of another and the neckline of yet another. This may be why so many brides are choosing the bespoke option – they have the vision, but just need a little help in bringing it into reality. Or they know what they want but they just can’t find it in the shops. And of course, they should expect their gown to fit beautifully, whether or not their weight fluctuates.

Caroline is one of those designer dressmakers in whose hands you’ll feel totally safe. Inspiring, expert advice and the creative skill to bring your dream dress to life.

Why not try the CoutureKit web app and design your perfect gown?
