Highfield House Open Event: The Place To Be For Brides To Be

If you’re a recently engaged bride-to-be—congratulations!—who hasn’t yet found their perfect venue, we think we’ve found something to help. The Highfield House in Driffield is opening its doors for its annual wedding event, The Art of Weddings. The venue has teamed up with a handpicked selection of the country’s finest luxury suppliers to bring you a brand new way of viewing wedding venues.

The Art of Weddings is a super unique open event for a super unique boutique wedding venue set in the heart of Yorkshire’s gorgeous scenery. What are you doing between 11am and 3pm on Sunday 17th September? Well, now you know…

Normally, seeing venues is a little awkward. Seeing your venue in a pre-determined and formulaic way, or styled for someone else’s big day, can detract from the beauty of the venue itself, especially when there’s an employee hovering just a little bit too close. That’s why we’re offering a brand new creative and interactive experience to help you live your dreams through Highfield!

At our event, feel free to wander the rooms of Highfield at your leisure, taking in the beauty of the recent renovations in all of their glory, and step outside to explore the spectacular grounds and terraced lawns. Along the way, there’ll be all the stunning finishing touches from suppliers such as the Blossom Tree cake Company, Paragon Floral Design, Todd and Moore Photography, East Riding Vintage and HF Couture Bridal and Millinery Design, in order to truly be able to envisage what your day would look like.

On top of that, there’ll be exclusive catwalk shows in the dramatic Great Hall, featuring the big reveal of Little Pearl Bridal Boutique’s brand new 2018 collection, soundtracked by sumptuous live performances from Club Class Entertainment. If you see any you like – and without giving anything away, we know you will – you can go into the boudoir to try them on, complete with shopping for your perfect bridal shoes, and privately discovering your all-important bridal lingerie. When the dresses are done, treat yourself to mini make overs by the gorgeous experts at Catherine Elizabeth, and pampering treatments by the luxurious Temple Spa.

Venue hunting is hungry work, which is why we’ve got The Hog and Apple Catering Company to tempt you with their mouth-watering treats, alongside the Yorkshire Bartender who will be on hand with their sumptuous servings, and the experts from Masons Gin and House of Townend.

And as if this wasn’t enough, we’ve got goodie bags for the brides too. You are welcome!

We really want you to feel comfortable in the venue, and feel as if it could be your home for the days of your wedding, so we’ve strived to make the day a completely indulgent experience for you and your bridesmaids to truly get the feel of the place.

The boring bits:

  • This is a free event, but tickets must be booked in advance
  • Tickets are limited to one bride to be + maximum two guests
  • Catwalk tickets cannot be booked without a general admission ticket
  • The catwalk shoes have limited tickets and will be ‘allocated’ on a first come first serve basis
