A traditional Irish recipe with a twist of fruit and spice.
Every chunky slice is delicious with a generous spread of butter, with a cuppa!
Makes one loaf.
Heat oven to 200°C / 390°F / 180°C fan oven / Gas Mark 6
Grease and line baking tray
Add 12 g butter (softened) to bowl
Stir in 225 ml buttermilk
Add jar contents and mix together
Turn out onto flour-dusted surface and gently bring mixture into a ball
Place on baking tray. Gently cut a big cross on top using flour-dusted sharp knife
Bake for approx. 30 minutes until crusty on outside
Cool on a wire rack
Serve a slice with butter!
