Linocut art print - Aglaea, Greek goddess of splendour - Mythology & folklore linoprint

Original hand pressed linocut print - A4, unframed.

This original print was inspired by mythology and named for the Greek goddess of beauty, splendour, and adornment, Aglaea. Aglaea was one of the three Charites, and together with her two sisters would arrange feasts and dances for the gods. In this modern interpretation, Aglaea twirls in a long, pleated midi skirt, indulging in fashion and glamour.

This piece is printed in oil-based inks on heavy weight 200gsm acid free cartridge paper. All prints are titled and signed.

These prints start life as a blank sheet of lino, hand carved to reveal the design. They are then inked, using oil-based inks, and hand pressed with a barren. Due to the nature of the print process, each piece will have it's own little variations and character, meaning it's unique to you.

All orders are posted in hard-backed envelopes and gift wrapped in a protective covering. You'll also receive a free little A5 sample print to say thanks for your order. If you are ordering as a gift, I can include a handwritten card - just drop me a line with your message.
