Linocut art print - Aphrodite / Venus, Greek/Roman goddess of love and beauty - Mythology & folklore linoprint
Original hand pressed linocut print - A4, unframed.
This original print was inspired by Greek mythology and named for the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. Known by the Romans as Venus, Aphrodite was born from the sea, associated with passion and pleasure. In this modern interpretation, she reclines in the waves, reimagined in retro, pin-up style wearing a vintage, high-waisted bikini. A perfect summer print to bring back memories of days spent at the beach, looking out at the ocean.
This piece is printed in oil-based inks on heavy weight 200gsm acid free cartridge paper. All prints are titled and signed.
These prints start life as a blank sheet of lino, hand carved to reveal the design. They are then inked, using oil-based inks, and hand pressed with a barren. Due to the nature of the print process, each piece will have it's own little variations and character, meaning it's unique to you.
All orders are posted in hard-backed envelopes and gift wrapped in a protective covering. You'll also receive a free little A5 sample print to say thanks for your order. If you are ordering as a gift, I can include a handwritten card - just drop me a line with your message.
